The method
Five, three, two.
5·base + 3·heart + 2·lift
A grounding base to carry the blend, a heart oil to give it depth, and a lift to open it up. Change the three oils and you change everything.
But 5·3·2 is a proportion, not a dose. Ten neat drops in a 10 ml roller is a 5.3% dilution — more than twice what a leave-on skin product should be.
So the ratio stays, and the strength is set separately, with you, at the stall. Two or three questions and we will tell you why we picked what we picked.

Before you buy
Essential oils are properly potent, which is the point — and the reason we ask questions before we blend. None of this is meant to put you off. It is what makes the bottle safe to use every day.
Children
No skin blends for under-6s — peppermint and eucalyptus are not safe near small airways. Ages 6–12 go out at Gentle 1% with child-appropriate oils only.
Pregnancy
Come and talk to us. From the second trimester we can usually blend at Gentle 1%, but clary sage and rosemary come off the shelf entirely.
Epilepsy & medication
Tell us. Rosemary is avoided with epilepsy and uncontrolled high blood pressure, and a few oils interact with prescriptions. We will swap them out.
Sunshine
Lemon is phototoxic. If your blend contains it, keep the area out of sun and off sunbeds for 12–18 hours. It is on the label and we will say it out loud.
Patch test
Inner forearm, one dab, 24 hours. Every bag has the instructions. If anything stings, wipe it with plain carrier oil — not water.
Keeping it
Blended into fractionated coconut oil and dated on the day. Good for 12 months. Store it out of the sun, and shake before you roll.
